B&C Cares is a non-for-profit organization offering home care and assistance to seniors who are in crisis throughout the Buffalo and Western New York area. We will work closely with our community and other local agencies, such as Adult Protective Services to assist in providing home care, transportation, items or services essential for the home with the goal of helping seniors live independently or to assist seniors temporarily while other services are being activated.
In addition, we want to launch an educational campaign, “Let’s Start Talking about Your Long-Term Care Plan.” Long-Term Care Plan is not an insurance policy. We want families and friends to understand the process of Aging in America. Currently there are 40 million Americans age 65 years or older. By 2060, that number will more than double, which means seniors will be more than 25% of our population. We are living longer with more chronic illnesses. B&C Cares congratulates longevity of life, but what is your plan or your wishes when life starts to get more difficult?
The time to have those conversations is not in the hospital lobby during a crisis when emotions are high. B&C Cares wants families to have those conversations early.
B&C Cares believes that if you start talking and understanding your goals with your family, it could mean less costs in the future, but more importantly, less stress. You can’t control the future, but you can start a conversation on your Long-Term Care Plan.
B&C Cares exists to be a solution to seniors and their families who require assistance through the aging process with a focus on disabilities and dementia.
B&C Cares wants to be a solution for Aging Americans. We believe we can educate families on planning for long-term care. Secondly, we want to help create meaningful training for home health aides in this dynamic field. Lastly, we want to assist crisis organizations who support seniors in need of funding for home care in emergency situations until the proper channels can be activated.
